PRESS RELEASE

We are running for the 16th year by the sea
with the Poseidon Half Marathon and Flisvos Marina

The Poseidon Half Marathon and its parallel races are getting ready to welcome thousands of runners once again this year, with Flisvos Marina of the LAMDA Development Group continuing to support the event as the Hospitality Sponsor. On Sunday, April 27, 2025, participants in the races will have the opportunity to cross the facilities of the Marina, enjoying the endless blue of the Athenian Riviera.

Flisvos Marina has supported the organization of the Poseidon event since its first year, and it is not just a station on the race routes but an integral part of it. In just a few weeks, it will once again open its welcoming spaces, and together with its staff, which will play an active role in the organization, it will contribute significantly to the success of the event. After all, the aspiration of everyone involved with the Poseidon event is for the races to be more than just a running competition—for the 16th year, to become an experience where sports meet hospitality, and speed blends with the high aesthetics of a unique destination in Faliro, Flisvos Marina.

The Poseidon Half Marathon returns on Sunday, April 27, 2025, with renewed routes. Its sports program includes six different races: the Half Marathon (21.1 km), Marathon Relay (10.5 km), Power Walking, and 5 km Road Race, the ALMA Social Contribution Race (1 km), and the Children’s Race (1 km).

In addition, the event includes various social and cultural activities. The organization has secured official measurement for the new routes of the half marathon and the 5 km race, certified by WA/AIMS. A few words about LAMDA Flisvos Marina A.E.

LAMDA Flisvos Marina A.E., part of the LAMDA Development Group, was founded in 2002 with the goal of designing, developing, and utilizing the port and land facilities of the Flisvos Tourist Port in Paleo Faliro. The €55 million investment project transformed the marina into a modern, high-standard tourist harbor capable of accommodating 310 large luxury yachts.

The simultaneous development of commercial uses over an area of 8,200 m², with restaurants, cafés, retail stores, and yachting services, as well as the renovation of 25 acres of green spaces, has created a unique destination in the Southeastern Mediterranean. With certification and the implementation of a unified management system for the marina in terms of Quality, Health & Safety, and Environment according to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 14001:2015 standards by LRQA, continuous awards of the Blue Flag since 2007, the “EFQM 5-star Recognised” certification in the business excellence framework by the Institute of Sustainability & Sustainable Development (INBIAN), the Gold Award in the Tourism Awards 2016 in the Facilities Excellence category, the first international award as “Smart and Sustainable Marina” in 2022 at Monaco Yacht Club, the 5 Gold Anchors Platinum accreditation since 2018 (the highest distinction of the global Global Gold Anchor Scheme by the Yacht Harbour Association), and the gold award in the "Best CX on Mobile" category at the UX-CX Awards 2023, Flisvos Marina justifiably remains the top mega yacht destination in Greece.
