Call for Expression of Interest – 17th International Poseidon Half Marathon & Parallel Races (April 26, 2026)
Dear Sir/Madam,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the International Poseidon Athens Half Marathon, it is with great pleasure that we reach out to you regarding one of Greece’s most prominent and internationally recognized running events, now in its 17th consecutive year. The event will take place on Sunday, April 26, 2026, in Athens.
The Poseidon Half Marathon is a full member of AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races) and has experienced consistent growth and international reach. In our most recent event, runners from 71 nationalities, representing 48 countries across 5 continents, participated.
As one of the top three international sporting entry points into Greece, the Poseidon Half Marathon offers sponsors a high-value platform for visibility and brand exposure to a global and diverse audience.
Beyond its athletic dimension, the Poseidon Half Marathon is also dedicated each year to raising public awareness around Diabetes and Obesity – two major global public health challenges affecting millions worldwide. Participation in the event also means supporting a cause with a strong social footprint.

- Half Marathon – 21.1 km
- Quarter Marathon – 10+ km
- 5 km Road Race
- 5 km Power Walking
- Children’s Race – 1 km
- Charity Race – 1 or 2 km

Participation Limits for 2026
- Half Marathon & Quarter Marathon:
5,000 participants
(80% Half Marathon / 20% Quarter Marathon) - 5 km Road Race & 5 km Power Walking:
3,000 participants
(80% Road Race / 20% Power Walking) - Kids Run : 600 participants
- Charity Run (ALMA Association): 400 participants
Total Participation Cap: 9,000 runners
