15th International Poseidon Athens Half Marathon and Others Races - Sunday 21.04.2024

The competitions are dedicated to the effort to raise awareness of society in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of Diabetes and Obesity, which are a global scourge.

TROCANTERO SPORTS & POLISTICSMOS AMKE, with co-organizer the NPDD ATHLETIC & CULTURAL CENTER of the Municipality of P. Faliro (PO.A.KE.), announce the 15th International Poseidon Athens Half Marathon and Other Road Races - Events.

The road races will be held in accordance with the following conditions and the Health Protocols that will be in force on the day they are held

1. Half marathon, 21.1 km

2. Half Marathon Relay, 21.1km (2 runners)

3. Quarter Marathon, 10.5 km

4. Road Race, 5 km

5. Power Walking, 5km

6. Kids Run, 1 km

7. Charity Run, 1 or 2 km

Registrations must be completed no later than Wednesday, March 20, 2024, or earlier if the upper limits have been reached.

Registrations are divided into 2 types:

Individual registrations, which are made and concern individual people.

Group Registrations, which are made and concern groups of 10 or more people.

Group registrations are addressed to Associations of Runners, to Public and Private Organizations and to any other group of people who would like to participate in the Road Races.

For each Team, a Leader is defined from the beginning, who can participate in the match as a member of the team or even not participate in the races.

The Leader of each Team is the one who will represent it  the organizers.

Half Marathon, Relay and Quarter Marathon: up to 3,000 entries.

Road Race and Power Walking 5 km: up to 3,000 entries

Race for Kids: up to 600 entries

Charity Run: up to 400 entries

Races registrations are completed when all positions are filled.

Successful entries are personal data and are not passed on to other people.

Ages:

• Half Marathon 18+ (from 2006 and older),
• Relay, Quad Marathon, Road Run Race 5km and Power Walking 5km, 12+ (from 2012 and older)
• Poseidon Athens Kids' Race up to 12 years old and
• Charity Run  does not provide for an upper or lower age limit.

All starts & finishes will be from the Sports & Cultural Center of the Municipality of Palaio Faliro, in the Flisvos Marina.

• Half Marathon, Relay & Quarter Marathon: 08:30 joint start by waves.
• Road Race 5km & Power Walking 5km: 11:00 joint start in waves.
• Charity Run & Kids Run: 12:00 joint start by waves.

Warm-up area: Stivos Athletic Center & outside it, on Ioannou Fix Street.

Refreshment points will be available at the start as well as approximately every 2.5 kilometers or less along the cource of all races.

Runners can leave their clothing and personal belongings in the adjacent area of the tennis courts.

Each bag must have the runner's entry number written on it and must be tightly closed.

Do not contain money, travel documents, medicines and valuables.

Awards A': Time 10:15 – Half Marathon, Relay & 1/4 Marathon
Awards B': Time:12:15 - Road Race & Power Walking, Kids Road Race, "ALMA" Association Charity Run and all Team Awards.

For the temporary traffic arrangements on the day of the races and for the available parking spaces, you will be informed via the website of the organization, according to the rules in force on the day of the matches.

Each right to participate in individual or group registrations to cover part of the total cost of the RACES, including VAT. 24%, is graded and depends, both on the race itself, as well as on the country of residence and the length of time submitted or application for participation.

A 50% discount is available to those who have finished all previous Half Marathons or the Half Marathon Relay (with a minimum of €10 including 24% VAT) on the price applicable on the date of registration.

Free registration will apply to athletes with visual impairments and people with disabilities, as long as they register by Wednesday 20 March 2024 (registration deadline).
After registration closes, a general fee of €15 will apply (24% VAT included)

Registration fees are non-refundable. 
However, in the event that the athlete will not be able to participate in the race, he/she has the option to choose one of the following cases:

1. Transfer of the registration fees for the next Poseidon Athens Half Marathon free of charge until Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
   
   
2. Transfer of the registration fees to another athlete until Wednesday, March 20, 2024 with a payment of € 8 for secretarial support clik "here"
   
   
3. Races changes can only be made until registration closes on Wednesday 20 March 2024.
   a) from the Half Marathon to the Quarter Marathon or the 5km Road Race or the 5km Power Walking.
   b) from the Quarter Marathon to the 5km Road Race. or in Power Walking 5km.
   c) from Road Race 5km. in Power Walking 5 km.
   
   
4. Cancellation of the 2024 Event by decision of the Government, due to Covid-19 or any other cause of force majeure: In this case, a forced transfer of registration to the next event will be made, subject to the terms and conditions of the new event.
   In the event that the Government limits the number of entries for health reasons, a first come, first served basis will be followed and for those remaining, a forced transfer to the next event will be made.

Poseidon Athens Half Marathon & Other Races - Events are owned and organized by TROKANTERO SPORTS AND CULTURE AMKE, co-organized by the NPDD CULTURAL AND SPORTS CENTER OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF PALAIOS FALIRO (POAKE).

The participation package will be collected in the hall of the Municipal Closed Gymnasium of Paleo Faliro "Sophia Befon", (on Ioannou Fix Street, 200 meters after the battleship "Averof"):

• on Friday 19 April 2024 from 12:00 to 20:00 and
• on Saturday 20 April 2024 from 12:00 to 20:00.

 Attention: please note that on Sunday 21 April 2024, the day of the 5 simultaneous races:
a) No participation packages will be delivered

b) from the early morning of Sunday 21/04/2024, temporary traffic regulations will be implemented by the Traffic Police.

One week before the Games, all relevant information regarding the traffic regulations that will be in force on the day of the Games will be posted on the website of the Organization

In order to participate in one of the competitions, we must first fill out our online application form.

Before submitting the application, under the personal responsibility of each participant or if it is a minor of their parent or guardian, we declare that we have read, understood and unreservedly agree and accept all the terms and regulations in force.

The personal data has been provided to the organization for the purposes of communication and information of each individual about the Races and Events it is holding, as well as for operational reasons in the present races, such as indicatively for the assignment and issuance of the participation number and the electronic timing chip, issuing start lists and results by age category, providing personalized photos, etc.

Depending on the needs, the Organizer may add or remove texts and conditions to the applicable rules and regulations.

For the safe and equal participation of all athletes in the Half Marathon and other races, we need the cooperation of ALL runners.

Only with your cooperation, we will all have contributed to a more coordinated organization of safe races, but also to another enjoyable experience.

During all the games, mutual service and mutual understanding between the athletes is required, as the rules of "fair play" impose.

The same applies to the period of time during your preparation as well as your stay at the site immediately after the races.

Individual runners or groups of runners must respect the rest of their fellow athletes and not obstruct each other in their efforts.
