From Experience to Knowledge. From Knowledge to Innovation.
The 17th International Poseidon Athens Half Marathon & Other Races concluded with remarkable success, bringing together thousands of participants from Greece and around the world.
Once again, the Athens Riviera hosted a truly international celebration of sport, health, culture, social contribution and human connection.
This year, the event welcomed runners representing 90 nationalities from 67 countries across all five continents, further strengthening the international character that the Poseidon Athens Half Marathon has built throughout seventeen consecutive editions.
For us, however, the completion of a race is never the end of the journey.
It is the starting point of the next one.
Every edition generates valuable experience. Experience gathered from runners, accompanying family members and friends, volunteers, partners, sponsors, public authorities and the many people who contribute to making the event possible.
That experience becomes truly valuable only when it is systematically recorded, analysed and transformed into knowledge.
And knowledge becomes meaningful only when it leads to improvement, innovation and better experiences for all participants.
With this philosophy in mind, the organization established the Poseidon Innovation Hub and the Poseidon Think Tank, dedicated to collecting insights, analysing data and developing recommendations that contribute to the continuous advancement of the event.
As part of this ongoing effort, we are launching our newly enhanced Participant Satisfaction & Evaluation Survey.
The survey examines the complete participant journey, including:
• registration and pre-race information,
• race pack collection and secretariat services,
• race-day operations and course experience,
• safety and participant support services,
• digital tools and communication channels,
• hospitality and participant care,
• overall event experience,
• and future participation intentions.
For the first time, the survey also incorporates dedicated performance indicators that allow the organization to assess its long-term development, better understand participant expectations and benchmark the event against other road races and running events.
For us, participant feedback is the most valuable source of information available.
No internal review, no organizational report and no statistical analysis can replace the perspective of the person who stood at the start line, experienced the course and crossed the finish line.
This is why we warmly invite all participants to dedicate a few minutes of their time and share their experience with us.
Positive comments encourage us to continue our work with enthusiasm.
Constructive criticism helps us improve.
Many of the most meaningful improvements introduced over the years have originated directly from suggestions made by our participants.
By taking part in this survey, you are not simply evaluating an event.
You are actively contributing to the future development of the Poseidon Athens Half Marathon.
Because our greatest source of innovation is not found in meeting rooms, reports or statistics.
It is found in the people who run, walk, participate and share the Poseidon experience with us.
From Experience to Knowledge. From Knowledge to Innovation.
Thank you for helping us continue this journey.
With appreciation,
Kostas Liapis
