  • the Kids Race; and
  • the Social Contribution Race.

The races included in each edition of the event, their official distances and their specific characteristics shall be set out in the relevant Official Race Notice.

Where required for organisational, technical, operational or safety reasons, the Organiser may add, modify or omit any of the above races from the programme of a particular edition.

3. Age Requirements

The minimum and, where applicable, maximum age requirements for participation in each race shall be specified in the Official Race Notice for the relevant edition of the event, taking into account the nature, distance and specific requirements of each race.

The registration and participation of a minor require the consent of their parent or legal guardian and shall be subject to the specific conditions established by the Organiser for the relevant race.

The parent or legal guardian must have read and accepted the General Race Rules & Regulations, these Special Rules & Regulations and any specific terms and conditions governing the participation of minors.

The Organiser may establish specific procedures for the arrival, assembly, start, finish, collection and/or supervision of minors. Such procedures shall be communicated in advance and must be followed by participants, parents and legal guardians.

COMMON SPECIAL PROVISIONS

9. Timing and Results

Electronic timing and the publication of official results apply to the 5 km Road Race.

The 5 km Power Walking is not electronically timed and does not have an official competitive ranking.

For the Kids Race and the Charity Run, the provision of electronic timing, finish recording or any other form of results shall depend on the nature and format of the respective race and shall be specified in the relevant Official Race Notice.

Where no official timing or ranking is provided, participation shall be considered non-competitive.

10. Time Limits

Where a completion time limit applies, it shall be determined separately for each race and specified in the relevant Official Race Notice and/or Technical Instructions.

Time limits shall take into account the nature of the race, participant safety, traffic-management arrangements and the period during which the course remains officially operational.

Once the applicable time limit has expired, the relevant provisions of the General Race Rules & Regulations shall apply, where appropriate.

11. Start and Participant Management

Depending on the number, age and characteristics of participants, the Organiser may provide separate starting zones, starting waves or successive starts.

Particularly for the Kids Race, or for races involving a large number of participants, specific procedures may be introduced for assembly, access to the start area, participant flow and departure from the finish area.

The relevant instructions shall be communicated before each edition of the event and must be followed by participants and, where applicable, by their parents, legal guardians or accompanying persons.

12. Awards – Medals – Participation Certificates

Awards and distinctions shall reflect the competitive or participatory nature of each race.

The award categories and distinctions applicable to the 5 km Road Race shall be set out in the relevant Official Race Notice.

The provision of commemorative medals, diplomas, participation certificates or other commemorative items for participants in the Parallel Races shall be determined separately for each edition of the event.

13. Special Safety Arrangements

In addition to the general safety measures set out in the General Race Rules & Regulations, the Organiser may introduce additional measures appropriate to the nature, course and particular characteristics of each Parallel Race.

Particular attention shall be given to the safe participation of children and of participants in races or categories requiring additional organisational or operational support.

Participants and, where applicable, their parents, legal guardians or accompanying persons must comply immediately with the instructions of the Organiser, authorised medical personnel, security personnel and the competent authorities.

14. Application of the General Race Rules & Regulations

For all matters not specifically regulated by these Special Rules & Regulations — including, but not limited to, registrations, race bibs, the non-transferability of registrations, the course, medical support, safety, race conduct, participant services, force majeure and exceptional circumstances, personal data, and photographic and audiovisual material — the General Race Rules & Regulations shall apply.

The relevant Official Race Notice and Technical Instructions shall specify the practical, operational and other variable details applicable to each Parallel Race.

These Special Rules & Regulations form an integral and supplementary part of the General Race Rules & Regulations.
