First Aid Programs

The Hellenic Red Cross organizes First Aid seminars for citizens. The Hellenic Red Cross, a pioneer for years in teaching First Aid in Greece, organizes educational seminars aimed at informing people about the importance of correct provision of First Aid in emergency situations as well as in everyday life, where timely and proper intervention by someone knowledgeable in First Aid can prevent disability or save a life.

The educational seminars "FIRST AID FOR CITIZENS" are conducted either in person or online by certified Instructors of the Hellenic Red Cross with specialization in "FIRST AID TRAINER and CPR/AED" of the Samaritans, Rescuers & Lifeguards Department of the Hellenic Red Cross, throughout Greece.

First Aid Seminars for Dogs

Additionally, the Hellenic Red Cross organizes First Aid seminars for dogs by the Canine Search and Rescue (K9) Team it possesses. The innovative program for Greek standards of the HRC, lasting four (4) hours, is implemented in Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Xanthi, Komotini, and Crete and will subsequently expand throughout Greece.

The goal of the program is for the dog owner to act promptly and effectively in an emergency situation that may arise with their pet. First Aid for a dog consists of simple actions that anyone can and should take with the aim of restoring the vital functions of the endangered dog, preserving its life, preventing the deterioration of its condition, and reducing pain until the veterinarian takes over.
