As the official online service of the International Poseidon Athens Half Marathon, it provides a secure, fully automated and user-friendly solution for managing group registrations and prepaid race entries through the use of Coupons.

Originally introduced to replace traditional spreadsheet-based administration, the platform has transformed the way groups organise and complete their registrations. Now in its third consecutive year of operation, it has been further enhanced to deliver greater flexibility, improved automation and an even smoother registration experience.

Designed primarily for sports clubs, companies, organisations, educational institutions and running communities, the platform also enables individuals and organisations to purchase one or more race entries as gifts.

Whether you are registering an entire team or purchasing entries for friends, colleagues or clients, the Poseidon Group Registration & Coupon Platform offers a fast, secure and straightforward solution—from purchase to final registration.

1. What Is a Coupon?

A Coupon is a unique alphanumeric code linked to one prepaid race entry for a specific race.

During the online registration process, the participant enters the Coupon in the designated field of the registration form. Once validated, the platform recognises the prepaid entry and allows the registration to be completed without any additional payment.

Important: Each Coupon is valid only for the race for which it was issued and cannot be used for any other race or event.

2. Who Is the Platform Designed For?

The platform has been developed primarily for organisations managing multiple participants and is ideal for:

• Sports clubs

• Companies

• Organisations

• Public sector organisations

• Educational institutions

• Running clubs and running communities

• Corporate teams

• Any other organised group of participants

It may also be used by individuals or organisations wishing to purchase one or more race entries as gifts.

3. Group Registrations

The platform provides a fast, secure and fully automated solution for managing group registrations.

To register a group, the Group Leader simply:

1. Completes the Group Registration Form.

2. Selects the required number of entries for each race.

3. Completes the payment.

Once payment has been successfully confirmed:

• the required Coupons are issued automatically;

• the official tax receipt is generated and delivered electronically;

• the group is ready to proceed with participant registrations using either of the available registration methods.

4. Registration Methods

To accommodate different organisational needs, the platform offers two flexible registration methods.

Option 1 – The Group Leader Completes All Registrations

One Coupon is issued for each race and is used for every participant registered in that race.

Example

Half Marathon → 12 entries → 1 Coupon

The same Coupon is entered during each of the twelve registrations.

This option is recommended when one person is responsible for completing every registration on behalf of the group.

Option 2 – Each Participant Completes Their Own Registration

A separate Coupon is issued for every participant.

Example

Half Marathon → 12 entries → 12 Coupons

The Group Leader distributes the appropriate Coupon to each participant, who then completes their own online registration independently.

This option is particularly suitable for larger groups whose members prefer to enter their own personal information.

5. Group Registration Tracking

Throughout the registration period, the Group Leader can monitor the group's progress online at any time.

Available information includes:

• completed registrations;

• remaining registrations;

• Coupon usage;

• overall registration progress.

All information is updated in real time.

6. Purchasing Race Entries as Gifts

The platform also enables individuals and organisations to purchase one or more race entries as gifts.

The purchaser simply:

1. Completes the relevant online form.

2. Selects the required race entries.

3. Completes the payment.

Once payment has been successfully confirmed:

• the corresponding Coupons are issued automatically;

• the official tax receipt is generated and delivered electronically.

The purchaser may then forward the Coupons to the intended recipients, who can complete their own online registrations using the unique Coupon provided.

7. Coupon Validity

Coupons remain valid for 15 days from the date of issue.

Where appropriate, one extension of up to 10 additional days may be granted, subject to the terms and conditions established by the Organising Committee.

Should the applicable registration fee increase during this period, payment of the relevant price difference may be required before the extension can be approved.

8. Terms of Use

• Each Coupon may be redeemed only once.

• Each Coupon is valid only for the race for which it was issued.

• Coupons cannot be transferred to another race.

• Unused Coupons cannot be carried forward to a future edition of the event.

• Once a participant's registration has been completed, the official Cancellation, Transfer and Deferral Policy applies.

9. Cancellation, Transfer and Deferral Policy

Payments made for race entries and Coupon purchases are non-refundable.

Once a participant's registration has been completed, it becomes subject to the official Cancellation, Transfer and Deferral Policy of the International Poseidon Athens Half Marathon.
